Prerequisites of integration and usage
Step 1 - Create a merchant accountIn order to process a transaction you would need a payleven merchant account so that you can login the payleven app. For this reason please sign up to payleven in the country you are in. Take advantage of the payleven merchant service area, accessible through the payleven website, which provides several additional features.

Step 2 - Create a developer accountOnce you’ve created your developer account you will receive a unique API key which grants your application access to payleven’s API. Please keep in mind that you should use your final app specifications (e.g bundle-ID for iOS or package name for Android) during the registration since these will be used in combination with your API key for identification of your app.

Step 3 - Install the payleven appAfter a payment has started in your app the actual transaction takes place within the payleven app. For this reason the payleven app must be installed on the mobile device you wish to use for accepting card payments.

Step 4 - Chip & PIN terminalInitially a Chip & PIN terminal is not necessarily needed for testing purposes since alternative payment methods are available that don’t require any hardware, e.g. cash. With this payment method you can go through the transaction flow similar to a card payment process. However, for a valid and thorough test, a Chip & PIN terminal is indispensable. You can obtain a Chip & PIN device when you register for a merchant account, within the payleven merchant service area or at one of our retail partners.
